Trier: Ontdek de oudste stad van Duitsland
Ons avontuur begint meteen met één van de hoogtepunten van onze reis, een bezoek aan Trier, de oudste stad van Duitsland. Hier kan je indrukwekkende overblijfselen uit de Romeinse tijd ontdekken, zoals de beroemde Porta Nigra en het amfitheater. Je kan ook het UNESCO-werelderfgoed bezoeken, waaronder de Dom van Trier en de Basiliek van Constantijn. Slenter door de schilderachtige straatjes van de oude stad en geniet van de lokale keuken en cultuur. Ook de shopping liefhebbers voelen zich hier zeker thuis.
Seehotel Losheim: Een oase van rust aan het stuwmeer
In de late namiddag worden we begroet met een warm welkom in Seehotel Losheim, een prachtig hotel dat gelegen is aan het betoverende Losheimer stuwmeer. Het hotel biedt comfortabele accommodatie en een unieke ambiance. Je kunt genieten van ontspannende wandelingen langs het meer, of gewoon relaxen op het terras en genieten van het adembenemende uitzicht. Het hotel beschikt ook over uitstekende faciliteiten om je verblijf nog aangenamer te maken.
Zaterdag 13/07/2024:
Ontdek de Saarschleife, Mettlach en Saarburg
Op zaterdag beginnen we onze avontuurlijke dag met een bezoek aan de prachtige Saarschleife, waar we genieten van een unieke boomtopwandeling. Voor de fanatieke wandelaars onder ons, is er de mogelijkheid om de route te voet te vervolgen naar Mettlach, terwijl degenen die liever een kortere wandeling maken, na de boomtopwandeling met de bus naar Mettlach kunnen reizen. Hier kunnen we gezamenlijk de adembenemende uitzichten over de Saarschleife bewonderen.
Na het verkennen van Mettlach, vervolgen we onze reis naar het charmante Saarburg. In Saarburg heeft iedereen de vrijheid om de stad op eigen houtje te ontdekken of de prachtige wandeling naar ruïnes van het hoger gelegen kasteel te maken. We eindigen de dag met een gezellige terugreis naar het hotel, vol nieuwe indrukken en mooie herinneringen.
Zondag 14/07/2024:
Cochem en Bremm – Historie en Natuur
Op zondag hebben we een dag vol variatie gepland. Voor degenen die niet van lange wandelingen houden, staat een bezoek aan het historische stadje Cochem op het programma. Deze stad, gelegen in de schilderachtige Moezelvallei, biedt een schat aan historie en schoonheid die zeker de moeite waard zijn om te ontdekken.
De fervente wandelaars onder ons worden afgezet voor een volledige dagwandeling in Bremm. Deze uitzonderlijk mooie route zal zeker indruk maken met haar prachtige landschappen en uitdagende paden.
Voor wie liever een rustige dag heeft, zijn er volop mogelijkheden voor wateractiviteiten bij het stuwmeer van Losheim of een ontspannen dagje aan het strand bij het hotel.
Maandag 15/07/2024:
Esch-sur-Sûre en de Terugreis
Op maandag, tijdens onze terugreis naar België, maken we een laatste stop in het idyllische Esch-sur-Sûre. Deze betoverende plek, gelegen in een rustige vallei, biedt zowel wandelaars als niet-wandelaars een prachtige omgeving om te verkennen. De hele groep kan genieten van een wandeling rond het dorp en het kasteel. Voor de wandelliefhebbers is er een speciale route die vanuit het dorp vertrekt en leidt naar een prachtig punt naast het meer van Haute Sûre. Hier zullen we opgepikt worden door de bus voor onze terugreis naar België, vol met herinneringen aan een geweldig weekend.
We kijken ernaar uit om samen deze prachtige locaties te ontdekken en een onvergetelijk weekend te beleven!

Discover the Saarschleife, Mettlach and Saarburg
On Saturday we start our adventurous day with a visit to the beautiful Saarschleife, where we enjoy a unique treetop hike. For the avid hikers among us, there is the option of continuing the route on foot to Mettlach, while those who prefer a shorter hike can travel by bus to Mettlach after the treetop hike. Here we can collectively admire the breathtaking views of the Saarschleife.
After exploring Mettlach, we continue our journey to charming Saarburg. In Saarburg, everyone has the freedom to explore the city on their own or take the beautiful walk to ruins of the upper castle. We end the day with a pleasant trip back to the hotel, full of new impressions and great memories.

Cochem and Bremm – History and Nature
On Sunday we have planned a day full of variety. For those who do not like long walks, a visit to the historic town of Cochem is on the program. This town, located in the picturesque Mosel Valley, offers a wealth of history and beauty that is definitely worth exploring.
The avid hikers among us will be dropped off for a full-day hike in Bremm. This exceptionally beautiful route is sure to impress with its stunning scenery and challenging trails.
For those who prefer a quiet day, there are plenty of opportunities for water activities at Losheim Reservoir or a relaxing day at the beach near the hotel.
Monday, 15/07/2024:
Esch-sur-Sûre and the Return Trip.
On Monday, during our return trip to Belgium, we make a final stop in idyllic Esch-sur-Sûre. Located in a peaceful valley, this enchanting place offers hikers and non-hikers alike a beautiful setting to explore. The whole group can enjoy a walk around the village and castle. For hiking enthusiasts, there is a special route that starts from the village and leads to a beautiful point next to the lake of Haute Sûre. Here we will be picked up by the bus for our return trip to Belgium, full of memories of a great weekend.
